First, we wish to take this opportunity to thank our clients for their patience in allowing our business to
evolve into a discretionary practice. Now that we have achieved our approval from IIROC (Investment
Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada) we can move to the next step.
We will be spending the upcoming weeks transitioning our clients fit for this strategy over to their new accounts. We truly feel this is another piece of risk management that freely allows us to execute our money management techniques with effectiveness and efficiency. As we have discussed with our clients it was extremely difficult for us to execute our Growth Trading strategy outside a discretionary format. We have used the early part of this year and recent client meetings to educate our clients on our evolving and strengthened business model. This was in preparation of instituting this full strategy once we were granted discretionary status. As a recap, discretionary management gives us the ability to be in control of every trading decision (the entry, every aspect of the management, and the exit) in real time and without the need to contact each client. We have looked for a stronger platform in which to manage assets. Discretionary status now gives us the ability to manage the risk much more efficiently. The marrying of our time-tested strategy for trading equities with a discretionary system, allows us qualities like speed, precision, and accuracy in our trading. Over time these qualities will be positively reflected in our performance. Clients will not have to deal with the day to day decisions. Therefore, going forward we will have a monthly “State of the Union” address where we will highlight aspects of our Growth Trading account, such as a market update, current holdings, performance, etc. We hope to begin our first update by the end of July or beginning of August. Again, we would like to thank everyone for their patience in allowing us to establish ourselves as a discretionary advisor. We welcome the challenge of a much more actively managed practice that will drive performance and growth for our clients, while employing strict capital preservation and risk management techniques.
Sincerely, |
